East Texas Youth Orchestra, Inc.
- Orchestras & Bands
The East Texas Youth Orchestra (ETYO) is a non-profit organization that provides young East Texas Musicians with high-quality orchestral instruction and significant opportunities for performance. Each year, they seat approximately 100 musicians in their two orchestras, performing three concerts of classical repertoire. Additionally, numerous smaller ensembles will perform in community events across the East Texas area. Musicians range in age form 7 to 22, exhibit both racial and economic diversity, and are all serious musicians, receiving private training in addition to involvement in their school music programs. These orchestras rehearse weekly and are challenged to achieve excellence in their skills and to strive for the highest level of musical performance.
