KICKOFF
LUNCHEON
The East Texas Kickoff Luncheon, sponsored by Azalea Orthopedics and Texas Spine & Joint Hospital, was held August 25th from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the UT/Tyler Ornelas Activity Center.

Guest speaker for this event was Bobby Taylor, former Longview Lobo, Notre Dame, and NFL defensive back. Emcee for the luncheon was CBS19 Sports Director, Eric Sullivan. 40 East Texas schools and colleges were invited to attend with one student athlete being given a $250 scholarship thanks to Azalea Orthopedics and Texas Spine and Joint Hospital.

The 2008 Kickoff Luncheon invited 37 local and area high schools and junior college programs to the event. Head coaches, administration and one player represented each school. Guest speaker was Larry Lacewell, former director of College and Pro scouting for the Dallas Cowboys and current Director of Personnel Evaluation. Many thanks to our main sponsors:
