    Event Description:
    For the third consecutive year, the Tyler Museum of Art and the Art of Peace – Tyler Celebration are teaming up as part of citywide commemoration of the United Nations International Day of Peace. The juried "Paths to Peace: Journey to Wholeness" Visual Art Exhibit opens to the public Saturday, Sept. 17 and continues through Sept. 25 at the TMA, 1300 S. Mahon Ave. on the Tyler Junior College main campus. Admission is free. The exhibition, featuring the works of 17 artists in a variety of media celebrating the "Paths to Peace" theme, is open for viewing during regular Museum hours of 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and 1-5 p.m. Sunday (closed Monday). The community is invited to meet the participating artists during the closing reception from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 at the TMA. The reception will feature light refreshments and a short program at 4:30 p.m. To RSVP, call (903) 595-1001.
